Michelin confirmed that it has invested 450 million

According to foreign media reports, Michelin confirmed its plan to build a tire manufacturing plant in central Mexico, the main production cars, light trucks with high-end tires.

This is the 21st Michelin Group in North America, the world's 69th factory, located in Guanajuato, Mexico, Leon. Plan to start in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The plant construction covers an area of 142,000 square meters, plans to invest 450 million euros, is expected to start construction in the second half of 2016. In the initial production phase, the plant is expected to produce 4 million tires annually for Michelin and its output will increase year by year. Most of the high-performance tires produced by the plant will be original car equipment.

According to Michelin, the investment aims to tap into the North American market growth opportunities, siting in this is due to the 18 car manufacturers in Mexico are located in the plant near this location.

Michelin recently employed 23,000 people in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
